No more !!

“Do not stand at my grave and weep

I am no more!!!

You missed the days

You left loose the time

Bygones are in fact bygones

And they don’t come back”

“Do not stand at my grave and weep

I am no more!!!

You did not care

It was not in wear and tear

Cozy kisses, warm hugs were never there

It was only shrieks and thumps everywhere”

“Do not stand at my grave and weep

I am no more!!

You never owned me

Nor did you value me

Life is not just time we live

It is about the memories we make”

This was written long back inspired from couple of my other blogger friends who took up a poetry challenge but never did I get a chance to post it.

We miss you dear…

A crumb of bread is all what you need

to make you happy dear!!!

A walk to the park

pat on the back, a rub on your ear

Is what you wait for us to hear!!!

You chase the squirrel, sniff the tree

Cats are scared, rats are no where!!

Your selfless wait, the innocent eyes

those fluffy ears, the sticky nose

You are more human than all of us for sure!!

With a heavy heart, eyes filled with tears

We immensely miss you

May your soul rest in peace dear

Yesterday, there were the first showers of this year’s monsoon and I loved getting drenched.

I love the rains!! Do you?

She waits…

She stays in hope, dreams to cope
Like a dove, she waits for love

Tight her eyes, wipes her tears
She longs for warmth, patience put forth

Waits for years, to kiss away the hours
She wishes to be loved, dreamt to be his beloved

Every day, Every night, every moment
In pain, she prays for the Lord’s attainment

If I were a bird

What if I were a bird?

Thanks to my blogging, I have been approached by the little sweet girl next door, asking me to give her ideas to write on the topic “If I were a bird”.

This left me thinking…yaaa!!! What if I were a bird ?? What will I do?? Sounds interesting isn’t it? I felt….

If I were a bird, I would fly high
Leaving the earth, with a blissful bye

Beyond the oceans, darning the emotions
Mystic peace, miseries cease

Resting on the cloud, sing songs aloud
Peace prevail, words fail

If I were a bird, I would fly high
Leaving the earth, with a blissful bye

As I was lost in the beautiful imaginary world, I suddenly get reminded that I am not a bird when I smelt the burning milk that I left on my gas stove some time back :p

As they say, grass is always greener on the other side, I do not know what a bird goes through, the tough times to safeguard itself from the hot sun, chilling winters, cruel hunters. I think I am happier this way being a human.

Love remains intact

Destiny it was, calamity alas!!

Preyed into the jaws of death, loving souls bereave the earth

It was not a myth, it was the rebirth

They incarnate as insects, love remains intact.

Dares to depart

He was in his teens, life rosy by all means

“Go” says the heart, “No” conflicts the mind

Trailing his heart, he dares to depart

As his family await…..

He leaves to serve his country the great

P.S: Kudos to all soldiers who sacrifice their youth and selflessly serve the country.
